
ABOUT Chiquita



Chiquita Estavan is a native of New Orleans, LA. She has used her gifts and talents to advocate and mentor the youth for the past 23 years. Chiquita attended Southern University of New Orleans, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and Prairie View A&M University where she received her master’s degree in Counseling. She currently resides in Houston, where she continues to fulfill her passion of serving children, youth, and families.
Chiquita is a recipient of the “Get into It-World Changer” award for the "I’m Me" girls’ tour through the I’m Me Foundation. She also received the “Spirit of Excellence” award for outstanding leadership by a site coordinator at the CASE for Kids-Harris County Department of Education EOY celebration. Chiquita was also honored at the “Making Power Moves” gala for the work that she has done in her community; as well as the lives of many at-risk youth she has positively impacted, specifically through girl’s and women’s empowerment. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and a certified Zumba instructor.
